Love and Mercy.
Heard about a website called "uglypeople.com" and checked it out one evening. It features photos of everyday people who weren't born with what our society considers "beauty.". The editors of the website obviously feel that they are somehow superior, and request e-mail feedback on the site. This is the message I chose to send them....
Everybody is beautiful....this is supposed to be funny? This genuinely saddens me. I can only hope that none of these people find out and are hurt by your twistedness. To them, I wish love and mercy. To you, well, you are likely to spend eternity wearing gasoline underwear. Please take this site with you when you go. You are sad, sick, and twisted. You have a meaningless life. You are wasting your existence, and obviously need love and inner peace more than the so-called ugly people. Go be nice to someone for a change. Give someone a hug; carry a poor person's bag down the street for them. I believe you can be more than this.
Pretty harsh, I guess. The whole point of this is that when someone is being hurt, those of us who know better have to call the bad people out. When you find a hurtful website, tell them to shut it down.
When you see someone who needs help, carry their bag. (Matthew 25:35 and the next few after that.)
Thanks. Love and Mercy...
I was sittin' in a crummy movie with my hands on my chin all the violence that occurs seems like we never win
I was standin in a bar and watching all the people there all the loneliness in this world well, it's just not fair
I was lyin in my room and the news came on tv a lot of people out there hurting and it really scares me
Love and mercy is what you need tonight so, love and mercy to you and your friends tonight.
