
The structure directly across the pond from these people is one of the original zoo enclosures at Crawford Notch State Park. At right are people standing on an arched wooden bridge that went across the spillway. It appears that some of the people have stopped and are leaning over, looking at the fish in the pond. This was part of the experience. After the wooden bridge you walked along a concrete dam, and finally, the zoo. Every time I visit I try to find out specifically when the zoo closed, and the park rangers all say "oh, a
